DRPI Country monitoring project in Montenegro

Within global project D.R.P.I. (Disability Rights Promotion International), Europe Regional Centre starts the implementation of holistic monitoring project in Montenegro in partnership with Centre for Society Orientation (COD), Serbian Society of Autism and six other DPOs from Montenegro: Association of Youth with disabilites of Montenegro, Association for help persons with disabilities Bijelo Polje, Association of Plegia Nikšić, Association of Paraplegics Bar, Association of Paraplegics of Montenegro and Organization of Blind for Niksic, Savnik and Pluzine. These DPOs include people with different types of disabilities which are going to be involved directly in the project as monitors. The Project Coordinator for Montenegro is Mr. Milenko Vojičić from Association of Plegia, Nikšić. The monitoring sites, where the project activities in Montenegro will take place are: Podgorica, Bar and Bijelo Polje. Project is supported by York University from Toronto and is lasting from January 2012 until February 2013.

UN Convention – Shadow report as opportunity for persons with disabilities in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Regional Centre has started to implement project of holistic monitoring and raising the capacities of local DPOs in Bosnia and Herzegovina in June 2012 in partnership of Centre for Society Orientation, SHIA and Lights for the World. Local coalitions of DPOs from 5 towns in BiH: Tuzla, Doboj, Mostar, Bijeljina and Sarajevo will be directly included in the project. Project is supported by Austrian Development Agency and will last for two years, from June 2012 until June 2014.

Monitoring on human rights of persons with disabilities in Moldova

In September 2012. the realization of project “Monitoring of human rights of persons with disabilities in Moldova” has begun. The goal of the project is to obtain realistic insight in situation of rights of persons with disabilities in Moldova, through process of monitoring using DRPI methodology of monitoring and capacity building of local organizations of persons with disabilities in a field of monitoring and effective reporting on human rights violations. The project is supported by Delegation of EU in Moldova through European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR) and will last 18 months. Project is conducted by Association Motivation from Chisinau in a partnership with Center for Society Orientation – COD within DRPI Eastern European Regional center program for monitoring of rights of persons with disabilities.
