Local disability action planing is process of mainstreaming disability issues into local policy through development of Local Diasability Action Plans – LDAP’s. It is an instrument for equalisation of opportunities and a life free from discrimination at local level for all persons with disabilities. The Local Disability Action Plan, LDAP, is a political document that decides how the local community shall mainstream disability into policy making. The LDAP should be based on the existing needs of People with Disabilities – PWD’s and looks at how existing resources can be used to ensure their participation in the local community.
